This year Limerick has become an official venue for this international blood donation drive, swimmers will donate warm-blood to take a cold dip in the Shannon for what is sure to be fang-tastic event. Swimmers will be encouraged to dress up for the blood curdling occasion.

Plunge into the cool waters of our city’s river and experience a Samhain swim

Kicking off the festivities, as evening falls, we will open our own bathing area on the shores of The Shannon. . Afterwards a legendary and well earned 

post swim feast awaits. Hot drinks and treats from The 

Urban Food Co-op will be served by the hearth of the Curraghgour 

Boat Club. The bathing area opens at 6pm. Spaces are limited so book early.

On All-Hallows eve when the veil between the living and the dead is at its thinnest, the Bishop’s Lady returns to roam with airy feet from Thomond Bridge to Castle Street. Her spirit is larger than life and the cart she drags behind her contains the chattels of the past.
