Kicking off the Friday festivities, as evening falls, we will open our own bathing area on the shores of The Shannon. Plunge into the cool waters of our city’s river and experience a Samhain swim.    Spaces are limited so book early.

Vampire Swim bonus event October 31st @ 6.30pm

Vampire Swim’s international blood drive by open water swimmers worldwide is now underway. The Swim is an informal open water swim and costume party held on Halloween in approximately 20 venues in Ireland, Scotland, Ontario, and around the United States.  Swimmers are asked to give blood in the six weeks prior to the swim or make a donation to Blood Bikes.

Limerick has become an official venue, swimmers will donate warm-blood to take a cold dip in the shannon for what is sure to be fang-tastic event. Swimmers will be encouraged to dress up for the blood curdling occasion.


The bathing area opens at 6:30pm on Hallowe’en, the 31st of October at The Curraghgour Boat Club. Spaces must be prebooked with warm-blood.

‘The Ungodly Bishop’s Pop-up Confessions” Street Theatre

Street Theatre in Limerick's Medieval Quarter. Come along to see sins absolved in comedic style.

Catch this hilarious street theatre performance with Dr. Simon Thompson playing the Ungodly Bishop - Nicholas Street opposite King John's Castle at 16:00 Saturday 28 October. 

It’s a desperate time for the Bishop, his wife has gone off the rails spending all the money on parties and fancy clothes. The congregation is slowly dwindling, and the bottom has fallen out of the collection plate. Therefore desperate times call for desperate measures, in an attempt to maintain his wealth the Bishop has come up with this radical plan! no need to book, simply walk right up, pay a donation to the Bishop’s ‘Special ‘Fundraiser and in just a few minutes you're free to Sin again. Don’t forget you can call in as many times as you like, so go on and enjoy a sneaky sin or two. Every little helps!
