Workshops
Lumen Street theatre are presenting a series of online workshops this year. Outreach and workshops are core to the festival since its inception and we wanted to continue this tradition in 2020.

Workshop
Lantern Making
Lanterns are a key component of Samhain’s light filled parade. Lumen demonstrate how to build the basic pyramid lantern carried by many of the parade’s participants.

Workshop
Mask Making
Masks are an essential part of Hallowe’en Lumen demonstrate how to create unique masks from a basic template using items found in your family home. Recycling at its best, the only limit is your imagination.

The mask making workshops I took part in are suitable for all ages including the young at heart!! I was so impressed by what was created in a very short time with the help of the Samhain team giving very clear direction, it was so much fun for kids and adults
Workshop
Undertakers Hat
The Undertakers are key characters in the Samhain Parade as they try and capture the Bishops Ladies Ghost. Lumen’s Giordana Giache demonstrates the building process involved in their creation using basic materials like plain cardboard.

Workshop
Bishop's Lady Headdress
The Bishops lady is the main protagonist of the Samhain Parade. Her ‘Bride’ minions all have spooky light filled headdresses adorning their heads. Lumen’s Giordana Giache demonstrates the building process involved in their creation.

Lumen Theatre Company’s workshops are always time well spent. Whether in person or online they are well thought out for young people to follow. Fun and creative, they mainly reuse things you’d have at home to make masks or shadow puppets or even paper skirts.
